Auckland - Bay of Islands - Auckland
Day 1 : Arrive Auckland
"Haere Mai" or "Welcome to Auckland" - the City of Sails.  Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel.  The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Auckland on your own.

Within an area of 360 square kilometres, 48 eruption centres from ancient times have been identified in the Auckland region with the oldest eruption taking place about 50,000 years ago and the most recent being Rangitoto Island only 600 years ago.  The Maori name for the isthmus is “Tamaki Makau Rau” which means Battle of a thousand lovers” - referring to the tribes that battled over the much desired land.  Auckland is now New Zealand’s commercial centre, with an emphasis on manufacturing retailing and commerce.

Given below is an interesting list of OPTIONAL places you may visit in Auckland such as the local attractions, restaurants and shopping opportunities:
Great Sights Auckland Sightseeing, Sky Tower, Explore NZ, Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World, Coast to Coast West Coast Tours, Grand Harbour Chinese Restaurant, Little India Restaurant, and shopping at either DFS Galleria or Regency Duty Free.

Overnight is at hotel.

Day 2 : Auckland - Bay of Islands
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel this morning. Later, leave for sightseeing of the Bay of Islands today. Travel north over Auckland's Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast. View mighty Kauri Trees before arriving in Warkworth for a morning tea break. The journey continues, travelling through Whangarei before arriving in the beautiful Bay of Islands at approximately 11.45 am.

The Bay of Islands is the finest Maritime Park in New Zealand made up of 144 islands with secluded bays and an abundance of marine life. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight is at hotel.

Day 3 : Bay of Islands
Partake of a hearty breakfast at your hotel this morning.

Today you may choose to proceed on one of the following tours:  the Supercruise, Dolphin Adventures, Cape Brett Cruise or the Cape Reinga Wanderer.

OPTIONAL attractions and activities in the Bay of Islands include:
Explore NZ including Sail NZ, Dolphin Discovery cruises & Dive NZ Paihia; Fullers Cruises including Cape Brett Hole in the Rock, Dolphin Adventures - Swim with the Dolphins, Cream Trip Supercruise & Excitor Hole in the Rock Speed Boat Adventure; Fullers Touring including Cape Reinga via 90 Mile Beach, Russell Mini Tour & Kerikeri Art & Craft Tour.

Day 4 : Bay of Islands - Auckland
After a buffet breakfast, the rest of the morning is at leisure until departure for Auckland this afternoon.

Departure is from the Maritime Building on the Paihia wharf.  Luggage will be collected earlier from the hotel.

Later this afternoon, take the coach back to Auckland via the East Coast of the North Island and through Auckland’s northern suburbs. The sprawling city of Auckland is visible from here, which despite only having one million inhabitants, is one of the top 10 largest cities in the world, area wise. Upon arrival in Auckland at approximately 8.15pm, check-in at hotel for the night.

Day 5 : Leave Auckland
After breakfast, the rest of the morning is at leisure.

Later, transfer to the airport in time to board your onward flight.
